Physical activity, good nutrition, and emotional wellness is an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle. Our health and wellness mentorship aims to help young people reach and maintain the healthiest possible quality of life, regardless of their immediate circumstances.
EMOTIONAL WELLNESS
Children need to realize that the world is a better place because they are in it. Understanding the importance of personal contribution can serve as a source of purpose and motivation.
LESSONS INCLUDE:
Learning to make beneficial and rational choices depends upon understanding what the decision-making process entails, and assessing the risk vs reward of your ultimate actions. Our goal is to help young people learn to make objective decisions and avoid jumping to conclusions, by examing a decision from multiple points of view.

As members of TheBklynCombine, the Law Office of Kenneth J. Montgomery and Keith White + Associates are ensuring that students understand that they operate within the laws and confines of that larger legal structure. Too often we suffer as result of ignorance to these laws.
Unfortunately, “Ignorance of the law is no defense.”

As members of TheBklynCombine, the digital design team at Pixod, along with their network of STEM professionals, is helping educators go beyond the core curriculum and offer students an understanding of the digital landscape that prepares them for a 21st-century career. The goal is to move our students beyond the consumption of digital media and onto productivity and innovation in their digital age.
The Combine's AI-Focused program aims to transform how students incorporate AI tools into their learning and research methods. Moreover, it can improve retention rates and increases student engagement.
Our goal is to ensure that artificial general intelligence benefits marginalized communities by amplifying lesser-known stories, making them more accessible for research and analysis. ZoraGPT is a propritary tool which empowers underserved communities to create and share their narratives, actively involving them in shaping the future of AI education discussions.
LESSONS INCLUDE:
The Bklyn Combine's Public Debate Program (BCPDP), is designed for youth in under-served communities. A review of essential debate skills, including argumentation, refutation, and note-taking, with exercises and ideas for use in the classroom. How to select debate topics, including topics aligned with selected social studies content standards.
When young people are encouraged to interrogate information, their relationship to that information becomes intimate and granular. This type of relationship to information will inspire a generation of young people that seek context and meaning in their world, instead of just accepting the outcomes of the generation before them.

The Combine's Public Restorative Justice program is designed to examine the harmful impact of a crime and trauma and then determines what can be done to repair that harm while holding the person who caused it accountable for his or her actions. Accountability for the offender means accepting responsibility and acting to repair the harm done.
Restorative Justice has been around in one way or another for a very long time. But Restorative Justice as we know it today is a relatively new practice, starting out in its modernized form in the 70s.
5 PRINCIPLES OF RESTORATIVE JUSTICE/RESTORATIVE PRACTICE INCLUDE:
Our goal with the Bklyn Combine's farming program is to provide access to climate and sustainability education through hydroponics technology. Hydroponic farming, involves growing plants by supplying all necessary nutrients in the plants’ water supply rather than through the soil.
In our program we show our students that growing plants hydroponically helps us grow food and other plants/herbs in smaller areas (greenhouses, living rooms, classrooms, and rooftops, for instance) and to produce food in parts of the world where space, good soil, and/or water are limited.

This unconventional approach to math learning was developed by We All Count, LLC, WAR Peace Seeker Academy, and IQ Capital Inc. in association with The Bklyn Combine.
Learn from educators offering unique insights into the discipline. We explore the fundamentals of problem-solving in a fun environment addressing reading comprehension and a problem solving mindset. Our goal is to take the intimidation out of math, emphasizing how the application of math affects everyday life and so many other disciplines. Help us facilitate creative and critical thinking.

Young people are major consumers of podcasts (mostly video). In 2021, there were 850,000 active podcasts, with over 51% of Americans tuning in. This demographic is trending younger every year. Educators who want to better engage students can capitalize on this trend. Kids want to create content in the same medium in which they consume it. Podcasting brings relevancy to every single subject area.
The Bklyn Combine is bringing guest speakers into the school each week to share their career journeys along with their passions. After each guest speaker presentation, we work closely with each student to dissect these careers/passions. We record each session as an episode of their final project, a podcast about career choices, life passions, college, and beyond. We will explore creative outlets from music production and photography to art and poetry as an accompaniment to each podcast.
