We Live In Brooklyn represents an opportunity to contribute to a fresh narrative emerging within the borough. It is a narrative of resistance, resilience, and a growing sense of pride amidst a changing landscape and evolving demographics. Shung found it imperative to narrate a visual tale of the ever-fading Brooklyn that changes before his eyes daily. Captured through the must-attend annual gatherings that draw out some of the most distinctively stylish individuals at events like DanceAfrica and Afropunk, Shung sensed an opportuniyty to share the captivating beauty found everyday in his hometown. @moithuk
Los Cinco Hermanos (LCH) is a book documenting the formation of a brotherhood in the summer of 2017. This group of men from Brooklyn came together following an invitation extended to some of them from Brooklyn To Alaska founder, Sam Gregory, a trusted friend and criminal defense attorney based in Brooklyn, NY.
BK2AK is an organization that annually leads a cohort of 15 or so young men (and young women) from Brooklyn to remote, McCarthy, Alaska for a 14-day adventure. During this immersive experience, these individuals gain crucial survival and life skills while delving into the wonders of the last frontier. Whether it's setting up tents each evening and having fireside chats or navigating the rapids during days of rafting, these young men connect and grow through the challenges and camaraderie.

AN EXPLORATION OF SOUTH AFRICA THROUGH STREET PHOTOGRAPHY
Our first destination in SA was Swaziland, where we had the pleasure of spending time with our hosts and dear friends Mel, Coach Mike, and their kids, Jordan and Mahlia. Swaziland, now known as Eswatini, captivated us with its stunning hills, mountainous vistas, and breathtaking landscapes stretching as far as the eye could see.
Upon arrival, we were unsure of what to anticipate, but we were pleasantly taken aback by the well-paved roads, illuminated streetlights, advancements, and general infrastructure that rivaled that of any major Western city. The rural lifestyle was different, to say the least, but we had the best time with great friends. See more of Madiba’s hometown in the book.
GUYANA
In 2017 Shung took a trip to visit his family in GT (Georgetown, Guyana). He met 20+ new family members on his pilgrimage back home.
Needless to say, 3-weeks with a host of new family members quickly turned into a coffee table book that he wanted to share with the world.
